Spiritual Issues

While many people rely on their church for community and spiritual support, our society has become increasingly secular. What this means is that many individuals are managing their spiritual life on their own. With the proliferation of self-help books, Internet webinars and YouTube videos, a lot of people are researching and experimenting on their own when it comes to spiritual matters. Sometimes people fall into black holes in their experimentation with meditation and energy trainings and find that it is difficult to crawl back out. Occasionally they have what has been referred to as a spiritual emergency. I have a varied and comprehensive background in spiritual practices including a master’s degree in religious studies from the University of Southern California and many years of meditation practice.
